How to Add a Map to Your SmugMug Site?

Enabling map or photo location on your photos will let your visitors know where the photo was taken. With the photo location enabled, you can flaunt your photos on a map. Here's how you can add a map to your SmugMug site:

Maps can be displayed in all galleries, including passworded, Anyone with the Link (unlisted), and Only Me (private) galleries.

  1. Click Customize > Content and Design. Then Drag the Map content block from the Content Block
  2. Inspector to your homepage, page, gallery, or folder where you want it to appear.
  3. Hidden photos won't show on maps placed on Pages outside galleries. This includes photos in password-protected, Unlisted (Anyone with the Link), and Private (Only Me) galleries, as well as photos protected by a site-wide viewing password.
  4. You can populate the map using these options:
    - Recent,
    - Popular,
    - Galleries I Choose,
    - Photos I Choose,
    - Keywords
  5. Enable Map Features in the gallery settings must be set to On.
  6. The content block is limited to 1000 pins.
